What is the difference between the ice cubes I make at home, and the ice cubes Natuzzi Bros. offers?
Home made ice consists of impure water that comes from the tap. It carries a cloudy appearance and has a funny after taste. Natuzzi Bros. Ice comes from a purified water source and is filtered daily during the manufacturing process. (it tastes better)
What is dry ice?
Dry ice is manufactured from the liquid form of carbon dioxide (Co2). This liquid is pressed into a solid creating a block of dry ice. Dry ice is extremely cold (-119 f) and should be handled with caution. You should not touch dry ice with your bare hands and always use gloves. Do not put dry ice in an airtight container, it is best to use something like a cooler or an ice chest.
Why do they call it dry ice?
Dry ice is composed of solidified liquid co2, as opposed to melting like wet ice, dry ice sublimates back into the environment leaving no mess.
Can I take dry ice on the plane?
In most cases yes, but you need to verify it with your airline carrier first.
How long does dry ice last?
Dry ice sublimates at approximately a pound every 2 hours.
